Re: Finals 2019.

Interesting that, with their AFL seasons done and Mad Monday’s done but their SANFL sides still in action, the 2 AFL Clubs are de-listing players and putting players up for trade So what is the desire to play at SANFL level when you are seeking opportunity with another Club to extend your AFL career?

Re: v West Adelaide @ Richmond, 23rd August

Was v CD a night match? So what is the analysis of night performances - and if selection looks to cover a game played at ground level hence the non selection of key forwards? Mind you I would understand from commentary on this site that we went with no key forwards in last year’s Grand Final so perh...

Re: v West Adelaide @ Richmond, 23rd August

So one quarter and that is it?

Need to start scoring again

I note Surman’s stats in the Seconds

Another wicket And when the ball follows you it follows you

Off subject but Cauford and Gerloff have been invited to AFL testing at season’s end

No other Norwood players

Partington has also won an invite

Re: Processed driven football

From afar so qualifications But I have mentioned before the relationship between recruiting forwards and premierships starting with Ross Dillon in 1975 and onwards to Warren The other factor is that our successful sides have also included class youth - so Under-Age Medal winners coming into League f...

Re: Liam Davis/Alex Forster

The “Stats leaders” on the NFC Website are of interest Bampton leads the goal kickers from Wilson and Barry - and who after that? So no key forward featuring which appears to have been the case for a number of seasons recalling that 17 goals on the season was the leading effort a couple of seasons b...

Re: Liam Davis/Alex Forster

Interesting too that recent premiership sides have included full forwards recruited from other Clubs, starting with Dillon thru to Warren

We did recruit a forward from North Adelaide but he is now racking up the possessions he is around the ground - as is Panos

Re: Team Selection 31st May v West Adelaide.

Interesting responses - and in no way surprising. We appear to live in a time of publicity, not questioning. No doubt the AFL publicity agenda drives the Mid-season draft, it keeps the product in the media with yet another headline. As noted, it is not about replenishing the List, Lists which are al...

Re: Team Selection 31st May v West Adelaide.

So West Adelaide (2), South Adelaide and Glenelg lose players

How vital are those players to those teams?

Or, more correctly, were they?

Re: Team Selection 31st May v West Adelaide.

Taheny is shown at 185 and 78 (as a 17 year old)

So Roger Woodcock size

Hardly a key forward hence defensive skills of even more importance

Has he grown to 196cm since the data went on the Club Website?

Re: Round 7 v W-WT Eagles at Woodville Oval

Given the reference to Glenn and noting the descriptions of his importance to the Club, where is his future with the Club?

The Club have the duty to put the best available players on their List on the park

Re: Josh Donohue.

On player resources I note Nunn has been mentioned in Press cover of the AFL Mid-season Draft

These Trades should be exclusively of players on current AFL Lists not randomly impacting other Leagues and Clubs

Are there any other Norwood players in the sights of AFL Clubs courtesy of this disruption?

Re: Player movements

So how are South Adelaide feeling re their Sandringham recruit Sydney is now showing interest in? Fortunately it was not Norwood who recruited him But it does introduce another dimension to recruiting and why the number of former AFL players targeted from Interstate (so not returning home) seems to ...
