Re: 2018 Michael Taylor Medal

Outstanding year by Mitch, well done. Pity there's no Premiership Medal to go with the others. One of if not the best individual performances I've seen in a GF. Just quietly I mentioned to the old man 3/4 the way through the 2nd quarter that if Mitch's second half was as good as his first he was goi...

Re: 2018 SANFL Grand Final

Strong leadership was needed in that 4th quarter not the stupid undisciplined act that saw them score a goal when we were just getting back into it.

Re: 2018 SANFL Grand Final

Interesting that we lost three of our first four matches, won 13 in a row, then lost two of our last three. We certainly peaked when Josh Glen was firing. The two clubs were the antithesis of each other. Norwood started poorly, had a wonderful mid season patch but tapered off towards the finals. On...

Re: Preliminary Final Debacle

There are penalties for doing this under time wasting which is why it's not being done already. There's a fairly simple fix moving forward. Club interchange stewards must present a list of the 3 Players (Name and Number wearing) that are on the bench to the SANFL Official before the Quarter starts. ...

Re: Preliminary Final Debacle

No matter what side the ruling went in favor of the other was always going to be upset.
Adjudicated as negligent and not deliberate.
I think they got the punishment right.
The Wiggles only have themselves to blame for missing out after being 7 goals up in the 3rd term.

Re: RD 14 Norwood Vs Sturt 14/7/18 @ Unley

Herd the 1/2 time scores on radio then later on in the after the full time score and thought at the time they must have turned it on in the second half. Recorded the game so watched it later that night to find they turned it on in one quarter. Outstanding quarter of football. Destroyed a team that l...

Re: Rumours On or Off the Field ?

The SANFL is in a sad state when the Leagues best players can get much more playing country footy.
I can understand fringe players being able to get a better offer but the Leagues top line?

Re: Remember when

We have to face facts that we DO have 2 AFL clubs participating in the SANFL, and once you get them in, it's the Dickens to get them out. Funny how we can vote them in, but we can't seem to be able to vote them out. However, if they did leave the SANFL and join an AFL Reserves competition, that wou...

I hope it was a dubious free kick in the last few minutes that help set up the win

Re: Another wasted year

Is anyone watching the Sydney v Geelong game? It's what I've been on about for years. Half time, Geelong leads by 6 goals, Dangerfield playing as a stay at home full forward with 4 goals. Sydney are playing like headless chooks, no forward structure whatsoever ..... much like Norwood. Please, pleas...

Re: Tim Doc Webber

Some interesting reading there. I remember reading somewhere Doc was talked out of early retirement by Bassett who saw something in a young Webber playing mainly in the reserves at the time. What a loss that would've been, played in 3 premierships and represented the SANFL. It's fair to say he went...
