Membership Numbers.

Have been away and arrived back to good and bad news.
In my opinion our recruiting has been good possibly a tall defender still required.
The passing of Glen Rosser an old mate from back in our CBA days and Rod Seekamp who was a great player for our Club terrible news.
I see the Wolf Blass building is well underway and it appears in general the Club is doing well.
It would be interesting to see our current membership numbers compared to the same time last year.
Have any players left in recent weeks apart from Chris Olsson to Centrals?
Bring on season 2020 as the cricket is one sided but hopefully the BB might improve the action.
Must say Pinyon may just be a special signing as he is a big strong unit who kicks goals. How long have we been crying out for a big forward ?

Just on membership numbers John, I emailed the club when the new membership web site came up querying why the membership numbers no longer appeared and was told the new web page doesnt allow for it to be displayed.

Looks like we have to contact the club if we want this information.

Wondering if anyone has current membership numbers or the Club can let us know ?

I note Sponsorship this season looks very promising, a player's list with a number of new faces and hopefully an increase on the grass root members.

Sent an email to the club re membership numbers but no response.

As for membership packages from memory they came about a week before the first game last season.

I received my members pack yesterday. Not sure if its much use for me if there is no footy other than being a donation to he club.

North East club closed.
Not sure where our income will come from going forward.
Similar to all the other clubs I guess.
Might be like the old days nearly all our staff could be volunteers into 2021.
Keep safe and well.

A donation that is vital to our club's survival. The coronavirus isn't going to last forever and our club needs our financial support through these difficult times.

Very few people would go to a football game and not spend a cent. Even if you (all supporters) only bought a Budget, donate the cost of budget over a season to the club ($50/$60). If a hundred people do that and the club receives $5,000/$6,000. Donate the money you would spend having a meal and drinks at a hotel over a couple of months. All this donated money helps the club financially.

Our club needs supporters to keep the club alive. Its not just being at games but the revenue the club receives from members/supporters that keep the club up and running.

I urge all supporters, don't look at the cost of membership as a waste of money just because there's no football games for the foreseeable future but a vital donation to support our club.

If anyone hasn't taken up membership yet, DO IT NOW. The club needs your support more than ever.

Now is the time to show what FORTIS IN PROCELLA really means.

Looking forward to some club announcements around new strategies and the new Norwood FC.
I think a very big new picture indeed.
IMHO I will be surprised if there is any SANFL footy this year.

I have donated $100 to our club (that's on top of Captain's club membership and "fortis in procella" scarf, cap & t-shirt). I urge every one to make a donation to help our club through this very trying times. If 3,000 supporters/members donate $20 each, that's $60,000 that's helping the club.

Think about how much money you have spare not going to games this year, not going to the pub for meals and drinks. Donate the money you're saving staying home to the club. Every little bit helps. Certainly Membership and merchandise helps but fork out a little bit more in a donation.

Show you support the club and the meaning of Strength in Adversity

Centrals looking for $250K to survive.
Many, many questions going forward.
Our club has been very quiet lately.
Will the Crows and Power/ magpies be out of the Sanfull in 2021?
How many other local Clubs in financial crisis?
What a pity the AFL has not shared its wealth into our competition in the very recent halcyon days.

here is a link where you can donate to our club.

https://asf.org.au/projects/norwood-football-club/

If we raise $250,000 (basing on what CDFC needs), between 3,000 Norwood faithful, that's $83.33 each. I've just donated $100 via the donation site, so let's keep the donation coming.

Buying merchandise help the club and shows your passion but the Club makes very little from merchandise as the club has to pay the manufacturer/supplier.

Cost of the SANFL budget magazine over 18 games = $54, surely most Norwood supporters could donate the $54 that they would have spent on the Budget over the minor round. $54 x 3,000 members = $162,000

Buy merchandise but donate what ever you can via the donation web page and show that Fortis in Procella is an action, not just a marketing catchphrase.

Addendum: the link is for donations to the Build the fort foundation but still its supporting our club.

Cheers Vert57.

Wasnt really interested in merchandise that I couldnt inspect first hand and as you pointed out the club doesnt get as much from merchandise as from a donation.

Donation made via link as suggested.

The reference to AFL and wealth in the same sentence provides a laugh in these testing times

The AFL is a pack of cards - as is now confirmed

The above donations link is for donations to "Build the Fort" which helps pay off the clubrooms which is important to the club. However it would be helpful if donations were made to help the club for survival on a day to day/week by week basis.

You can donate either by the above "Built the Fort" link or phone the club (the club's office number is patched to the wonderful Angeline while the office staff are working from home).

I'm donating $250 today so show "Fortis in Procella" and donate as much as you can, whenever you can.
